CCR offers 4 workshop sessions each year (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter), as well as an annual seminar series. A pre-paid registration fee is required to reserve your space in any professional development opportunity. In addition, we offer many college level courses, which are eligible to be taken for college credit. Most workshops sponsored by CCR qualify for child care provider's annual training requirement in the State of Vermont. Many of the workshops, seminars, and courses are also aligned with local and national accreditation and credentialing programs. A statewide list of Professional Development opportunities can be accessed in the course calendar section of the Bright Futures Information System (BFIS). Providers may register for our offerings by phone (please have payment information ready), or by mail with payment information or check enclosed. For more information, email Meghan Flanders or call CCR at (802) 863-3367, Ext. 40. To register, print out the registration form below and send in with payment to the address below. At Child Care Resource we believe that professional development is key to your experience as an early educator and to the quality of the child care you offer. Our workshops cover a wide variety of topics including observing children's behavior, parents as customers, new activity ideas, and "hot topics" in the field of child care. The State of Vermont requires a minimum of 6 hours a year of training for all registered child care providers and 12 hours for child care providers working in licensed programs. Specialized Service Providers need an additional 6 hours each year. You are responsible for keeping track of your training hours.
