Resources for Employers

WHAT CCR DOES FOR CHITTENDEN COUNTY

Child Care Resource (CCR) exists to lead our community in making early care and education work. As a non-profit human service organization, we help families & providers make child care connections, strengthen early learning opportunities, and create child care solutions for communities.

We help over 2,000 families in Chittenden County make connections with providers each year. We educate families about what quality child care is, and we also refer them to child care programs that meet their needs via our comprehensive provider database of over 300 programs in the county (including summer camp programs).

While parents are at work, children need programs that will provide nurturing care and learning opportunities. We strive to ensure that children from birth to age 12, are developing to their full potential and are well prepared for school and life. Our services allow parents peace of mind, as we offer practical guidance and emotional support to find child care that best meets your families’ needs.

WHY EMPLOYERS SHOULD CARE ABOUT CHILD CARE

Each year in our community, hundreds of working parents struggle to balance career and child care. When working parents struggle, companies struggle. Research has demonstrated that businesses who support employees in their effort to manage both work & family, can have lasting positive outcomes, including:

  • Decreased Absenteeism
  • Reduced Turnover
  • Improved Job Satisfaction
  • Improved Morale
  • More Consistent Productivity

Our funders include businesses who want to assist their employees with their child care needs and support the development of quality child care in our community.
