Just for Providers
Starting a Family Child Care Home
Regulations for Family Child Care
Homes are available from the State of Vermont Agency of Human Services, Department for Children and Families (DCF), Child Development Division (CDD) which
oversees all aspects of registered family child care homes
in Vermont. For a copy of the Regulation for Family Child Care Homes

A free orientation program
is offered by Child Care Resource for any one considering
starting a family child care program in their home. You will
learn about state requirements, the need for care in your
town, along with resource and subsidy programs to help you
start and maintain a quality child care program. Warm, friendly
staff from CCR will answer your questions. You'll even get
a free resource notebook to take home with you. For each orientation
we arrange for an experienced family child care provider to
come give you the inside scoop about being a provider. This
program meets the State requirement for orientation.
