Opportunities exist in Vermont for registered family child care
providers and licensed programs to apply for mini-grants and
scholarships to enhance their child care programs. A brief description
of each along with eligibility and contact information is listed
below.
State of Vermont Mini-Grant Program
Administered by the Child Care Services Division (CCSD) of
the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS)
of the State of Vermont. Registered family child care providers
and licensed programs are eligible. Start up funding is also
available for new licensed programs. All applicants must be
willing to service children who families are eligible for
child care subsidy assistance and/or children with disabilities.
Mini-Grants are available for equipment and facility improvements
and, accreditation, professional credential or college course
work.

Child Care Resource - Scholarships
for CCR College Level Courses
We offer a variety of college level courses as a part of our
annual professional development series. These courses will
help licensed and registered providers meet the requirement
for many of the professional credentialing programs, as well
as the annual state training requirement.

Vermont Student Assistant Corporation
(VSAC)
The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation is a public
nonprofit agency to help Vermonters who want to go to college
or other training after high school. They provide grants,
loans, scholarships, career and education planning, and general
information about how you, or others in your family, can get
the education you want. Maybe the Community College of Vermont
has a new child care course, or you've decided to go from
a CDA credential to a bachelor's degree in early childhood.
Maybe you are looking to change careers. They provide assistance
for many circumstances.
