Child Care Food Program for Child Care Homes |
Looking for a way to make serving nutritious meals more affordable in your child care business? The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) can help. The CACFP is a federal program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and administered by the Vermont Department of Education. The program provides partial reimbursement for child care food expenses, and is open to registered childcare providers, legally exempt providers, and childcare centers.
Child Care Resource is proud to be a local sponsor of this program. As of fiscal year 2007, more than 3 million children nationwide, including over 8,000 children in Vermont received meals through the Child Care Food Program. Your child care program can take part in this exciting program, too!
Parents look for the Child and Adult Care Food Program as a sign of quality child care. They love the convenience of not having to pack a meal, but more importantly, they love the assurance that their children are being served nutritious meals and snacks. The experienced, creative staff of the Child Care Resource Food Program provide training and nutrition education to those enrolled in the Food Program, as well as caring support.
